How we met
Amara was watering roses at the Sunday market when Julian mistook her stall for a book fair. The apology flowers turned into a year of long walks and even longer letters — all of them about nothing, all of them kept.

The proposal
Under the same garden where we first argued about books, Julian knelt among the peonies at golden hour. Amara said yes before he finished the question — twice, to be sure.
